Coliform/E.coli Testing
- Detects total coliforms and E. coli in one test
- A colourless-to-green/blue change indicates coliforms, and blue fluorescence under UV light indicates E. coli
- Simple one-step procedure
- Collect 100 mL in a sample bag, add one EC Blue sachet, agitate gently and incubate
- Clear incubation conditions
- Incubate for 22 to 26 hours at 35 °C in the DI10 Dipslide Incubator
- Chlorine neutralised in the bag
- Each sample bag contains a tablet that neutralises any chlorine present in the sample
- UV lamp supplied
- Positive samples are checked for E. coli using the supplied long-wave UV lamp
- Sensitive to a single CFU
- Indicates as little as 1 CFU/100 mL, against the WHO guideline of zero CFU per 100 mL for potable water
- Early warning of bacterial contamination
- Well suited to monitoring water courses, tanks and pipework
